Responsible sourcing is important to us at Beautycounter - so important that it’s baked into our industry-leading Ingredient Selection Process (https://bit.ly/2WDypGn). Since mica is a high-risk mineral for child and forced labor, we’re in the continual process of verifying our supply chain. Through third-party audits, we have been working with our mica suppliers to partner with our team to visibly track and trace the supply chains that produce our mica products and ensure compliance with our policies. We’ve also partnered closely with our Contract Manufacturers to further dig into their supply chains to ensure they are purchasing ingredients that have been grown, cultivated, and transported by those in compliance with international labor standards. Further, in 2018 we instituted an updated Code of Conduct that doubles-down on our compliance requirements and a zero-tolerance policy for forced and child labor.
